چکیده

where f ,g ∈ C([0, 1]× R+ × R+,R+), α[u] = ∫ 1 0 u(t)dA(t) and β[u] = ∫ 1 0 u(t)dB(t) are linear functionals on C[0, 1] given by Riemann-Stieltjes integrals and are not necessarily positive functionals; a, b, c, d are nonnegative constants with ρ := ac + ad + bc > 0. By using the Guo-Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem, some sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of at least one or two positive solutions and nonexistence of positive solutions to the above problem. Two examples are also included to illustrate the main results. MSC: 34B15

ON SOLUTION OF A CLASS OF FUZZY BVPs

This paper investigates the existence and uniqueness of solutions to rst-order nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs) involving fuzzy dif- ferential equations and two-point boundary conditions. Some sucient condi- tions are presented that guarantee the existence and uniqueness of solutions under the approach of Hukuhara dierentiability.

Multiple monotone positive solutions for higher order differential equations with integral boundary conditions

where n ≥ , f : [, ]× (R+)n– → R+ is continuous in which R+ = [,+∞), A and B are right continuous on [, ), left continuous at t = , and nondecreasing on [, ], withA() = B() = ; ∫   v(s)dA(s) and ∫   v(s)dB(s) denote the Riemann-Stieltjes integrals of v with respect to A and B, respectively. Boundary value problems (BVPs for short) for nonlinear differential equations arise in m...

Solutions to Second Order Non-homogeneous Multi-point Bvps Using a Fixed-point Theorem

In this article, we study five non-homogeneous multi-point boundary-value problems (BVPs) of second order differential equations with the onedimensional p-Laplacian. These problems have a common equation (in different function domains) and different boundary conditions. We find conditions that guarantee the existence of at least three positive solutions. The results obtained generalize several ...

On the Solvability of Nonlinear, First-Order Boundary Value Problems

This article investigates the existence of solutions to first-order, nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs) involving systems of ordinary differential equations and two-point boundary conditions. Some sufficient conditions are presented that will ensure solvability. The main tools employed are novel differential inequalities and fixed-point methods. AMS 2000 Classification: 34B15, 34B99

Systems of Differential Inclusions in the Absence of Maximum Principles and Growth Conditions

This article investigates the existence of solutions to second-order boundary value problems (BVPs) for systems of ordinary differential inclusions. The boundary conditions may involve two or more points. Some new inequalities are presented that guarantee a priori bounds on solutions to the differential inclusion under consideration. These a priori bound results are then applied, in conjunction...
